I love to turn in the saddle and look back to the hillside hayfield and see our flattened trails, and witness the resiliency of grass. When we return, the grasses will be tall again, no hint of our path. Flattened to rise again, like falling is part of riding. Like our history is swallowed up in the glorious present.
